Since emojis have first been created, they have evolved and have developed into a new possible language for the human race. I believe that there is a variety of reasons one might use emojis. Emojis can be a great addition to a sentence or conversation, it allows the reader to create a better understanding of what is being said and the emotions behind what is being said. Emojis are used all over the world within all different age groups but mainly used within youth and many of us use them all for the same reason I have previously stated, they create a better understanding. There are many different types of emotions that emojis can convey such as sadness, happiness, or even being mad and you can add these emojis to enhance the feeling and or emotions of a statement or sentence to give the reader a more accurate comprehension of how the author is feeling
Personally I use emojis on a day to day basis, it’s usually within an informal conversation between friends and or family as well as in captions to photos following a statement on social media. Emojis can be very helpful within conversation because you aren’t having to wonder what type of emotion or tone someone is trying to get across, they enhance both feelings and emotions. I did my emoji translation on a poem about running. The reason I had chose to do my translation on a poem about running is because it is something that I have a deep passion for. I translated my poem into all emojis without using any text. This alone was a relatively difficult task. It seems that there are hundreds of emojis and you would think that there might be an emoji for a majority of our language, however it is not as easy as you’d think. The most difficult problem that I ran into with this project is finding emojis that would represent some words, or finding emojis to put together to create the full sentence. Even though I feel that I’ve successfully carried out this task through the difficulties, many people might see the emojis that i’ve chosen and translate them in a different way.
